Susan Metcalf
Chief Operating Officer Social Ventures Australia

Susan has been a Judge on the Telstra Business Women's Awards for several years and brings with her deep experience in management and marketing with some of Australia’s biggest commercial and not-for-profit brands. She sits on the Advisory Boards of the Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE, and Evidence for Learning, a social enterprise working toward evidence-informed decision making in education. At Social Ventures Australia Susan works with business, government and philanthropists seeking to be more effective in funding the social sector, and sees a wide range of social ventures and not-for-profit organisations seeking to prove and improve their impact in the community.

2016 Telstra New South Wales Entrepreneur Award Winner Nourished Life

After spending 10 years in senior marketing roles for some the world’s largest companies, Irene Falcone created her own business to fill a gap she saw for trusted, environmentally-friendly beauty products. She created Nourished Life to provide sustainable, eco-friendly, natural personal care, beauty, home and lifestyle products – all backed by substantiated information. Irene leads, inspires and empowers her growing team of more than 20 working mums and her proudest achievement so far has been to successfully take her online-only business to a bricks-and-mortar retail store with a large warehouse, office space, and on-site naturopathy service.
